A: No. The PFI is strictly for diagnosis. If we find defects, they are recorded in the report. You are only required to rectify them after the report is submitted (unless there is an immediate danger to public safety). This gives you time to budget for repairs separately.

A: Yes, but we need them for planning. If you cannot find your “As-Built Facade Plans,” we can assist you in purchasing copies directly from the BCA Plan Purchase System. We handle this administrative headache for you.

A: Yes. Requires us to inspect all external elements that could fall and injure the public. This includes A/C ledges, sunshades, and advertising signage. If your tenants have installed unauthorized structures that are unsafe, they will be flagged.

A: While many can pass the Facade Inspector course, certification does not equal capability. A PE acts as the “Competent Person” legally, but they need an RFI with actual site experience based on their education background to conduct the physical checks. We are IES-Registered, meaning we have passed the rigorous interview process proving our practical background. We bridge the gap between the PE’s theoretical liability and the gritty, hands-on reality of spotting defects that “textbook inspectors” miss.

A: It depends on your site conditions. Regulations require 10% of the facade to be inspected hands-on (tactile).
For the 100%: We use Drones (UAV) to reduce cost and time.
For the 10%: We use Rope Access or Boom Lifts where possible to avoid full scaffolding. We design the most cost-effective “Hybrid Access” plan that satisfies the 10% rule without unnecessary equipment rental.

A: The PE carries the legal liability and will reject any data that is blurry or incomplete before it is even submitted. We don’t just aim for “ compliance”; we aim for PE Confidence. We ensure every image is sharp and properly organized so your PE can clearly verify the defects. This prevents the frustrating situation where a PE refuses to endorse the report due to poor data quality, forcing you to pay for a re-flight.
