FAQ – Periodic Façade Inspection
A: Failing to appoint a Competent Person (CP) or submit the report on time is an offence. You may face a fine of up to $20,000, imprisonment for up to 12 months, or both. Action: Don’t risk the fine. [Contact us] to book your slot before the deadline.

A: No. The PFI is strictly for diagnosis. If we find defects, they are recorded in the report. You are only required to rectify them after the report is submitted (unless there is an immediate danger to public safety). This gives you time to budget for repairs separately.

A: Yes, but we need them for planning. If you cannot find your “As-Built Facade Plans,” we can assist you in purchasing copies directly from the BCA Plan Purchase System. We handle this administrative headache for you.

A: Yes. Requires us to inspect all external elements that could fall and injure the public. This includes A/C ledges, sunshades, and advertising signage. If your tenants have installed unauthorized structures that are unsafe, they will be flagged.

A: It depends on your site conditions. Regulations require 10% of the facade to be inspected hands-on (tactile).
For the 100%: We use Drones (UAV) to reduce cost and time.
For the 10%: We use Rope Access or Boom Lifts where possible to avoid full scaffolding. We design the most cost-effective “Hybrid Access” plan that satisfies the 10% rule without unnecessary equipment rental.
